TiCN Coating, formally known as Titanium Carbo-Nitride coating, is an all-purpose strengthening coating that does especially well with cutting applications. Adding a total thickness of approximately .0001″ – .0002″ (2 – 5 Microns), TiCN coating will lengthen the life of your reamer and keep your tools sharper for longer. Choosing to have your tools TiCN coated may add 2-3 weeks to your lead time.
Manson Throaters are .0005”-.001” over Nominal Bullet Diameter.
Manson Throaters can lengthen a Freebore/Throat and/or open up the diameter of your Freebore/Throat. This is used for 9MM applications.
Manson Throaters are made of High Speed Steel and should not be used on melonite or nitride barrels.
