Chad’s Bio

Chad Heckler, a fellow native Michigander, has been shooting competitively since 2017. He is a graduate of Lawrence Technological University with a Mechanical Engineering degree. This gives a foundation for his critical nature and ability to flush out the details in all aspects of gunsmithing and precision rifle. As the owner of 5X5 Precision, a company that specializes in chambering championship barrels, he is very familiar with the precision and performance that you come to expect from Manson Reamers.

Chad mainly competes in the Precision Rifle series. His shooting resume includes 25 national top 10 finishes including 3 Pro series wins, 2 of the coveted top 10 season bullets, 35 top 10 regional series finishes including 14 wins, 2 regional series championships, 1 Armageddon Gear Cup, and 1 World Championship title.

On top of all of his personal achievements in the precision rifle discipline, Chad loves to give back to the shooting community. He and his long time shooting friend Francis Colon won the 2023 Sportsmen of the year award given out by the Precision Rifle Series for always being willing to help other shooters. Together, they also host a podcast called “Miles to Matches” where they put out episodes weekly on topics that challenge and help shooters become better marksmen.
