Paul’s Bio

Paul Phillips served in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantryman where he earned a Combat Action Ribbon. Paul also served in a Scout Sniper Platoon with 1/1 STA 1st Marine Division.

After serving his country, Paul attended Michigan State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and won the 1996 NRA Long Range Collegiate National Championship. Paul’s shooting career continued to flourish as he graduated at the top of his class in the FBI sniper school, won over 21 Gold Medals as a member of 3 world championships, America matches, and being a part of 14 national NRA Championship teams. He also served as the adjutant of the US Rifle Team, tied or broke over 44 NRA National Shooting Records, earned the International Distinguished Shooting Badge #F19, and is currently ranked #1 in the World for the King of 1 Mile Global Ranking. As the result of a lifetime of dedication, excellence, and accomplishments in shooting sports, Paul received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congressman John Moolenaar.

Most recently, Paul has parlayed his over 30 years of military, law enforcement, and competitive shooting experience into his consulting and training company, Global Precision Group LLC, and his shooting team, Team Global Precision Group, both of which continue to push the envelope of precision and extreme long-range shooting having made impacts at 3.4 and 4 miles. Team GPG is the only team in the World to have won both King of 1 Mile (2022) with a 1st and 2nd place finish, and King of 2 Miles (2019) with a 1st, 3rd and 4th place finish.
