Reamers are available in both Roughers and Finishers with a Removable (Live) Pilot. Pilot Bushings to nominal bore diameter are included with removable pilots. Additional Pilot Bushings can be purchased under Pilot Bushings.
TiCN Coating, formally known as Titanium Carbo-Nitride coating, is an all-purpose strengthening coating that does especially well with cutting applications. Adding a total thickness of approximately .0001″ – .0002″ (2 – 5 Microns), TiCN coating will lengthen the life of your reamer and keep your tools sharper for longer.
Oil grooves are an available option for all chamber reamers over 22 caliber. The grooves allow for a better flow of cutting fluid as well as flushing of chips.
The 22 Creedmoor uses standard 6.5 Creedmoor headspace gages.
This chamber is well suited to Lapua 69 gr Scenar & Scenar L, Nosler 77 gr custom Competition, Sierra 77 & 80 gr MK, Hornady 75 & 80 ELDM, Berger 73 Target BT, 80 VLD, 80.5 Fullbore, 82 target BT, 85.5 Hybrid and other similar bullets. Lighter bullets, 55 gr and up, should pose no problem as they can be seated out. Hunting bullets often have longer bearing surface lengths for the same weight class bullet and if so, may require seating below the neck/shoulder junction.
Peterson Brass loaded round neck diameter is .255, making this chamber a tight, but 'no neck turn' chamber for Peterson Brass.
