The 6.5 Weatherby RPM (Rebated Precision Magnum) is a cartridge that was developed by Weatherby to offer magnum level performance with the constraints of a standard-length rifle action. It's basically a lengthened version of the .284 Winchester case with a rebated rim to allow it to be used with standard .30-06 bold faces.

(Similar to the 6.5-284 Norma with improved velocities and an improved version of the 264 Winchester Magnum with a standard bolt face and no belt)
